Are you teaching faith apart from God’s law?
“Brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers. You know that we who teach will be judged more severely.” James 3:1
Are you a Bible Teacher? Do you teach a stand-alone faith void of God’s Law?
Over the years, it’s been painful watching “professing” Christians twisting themselves into pretzels in trying to justify faith, their faith, without God’s Law. On one hand, they proudly avow their Christianity, and at the same time on the other hand, just as ardently disavow God’s Law. It’s a pathetic and unsustainable balancing act that’s excruciating to watch.
It’s simple. If we aren’t obligated to keep God’s Law anymore, show us the explicit scripture that says that.
If God’s Law was butchered and the Sabbath Day Law, God’s Dietary Law, and His Holy Day Laws were done away with in this New Covenant era, then show us the explicit scriptures that explicitly spell that out.
Show us where it says that it’s okay to substitute Sunday for God’s COMMANDED Holy Sabbath. Or that we are now free to eat pork, shrimp, crab, lobster, and other unclean animals. Or where it says that’s it’s okay to disregard His COMMANDED Holy Feasts and substitute them with pagan god festivals like Christmas and Easter.
If you’ve chosen to become teachers and this is what you teach, then feel free to respond and just show us the dang scriptures where these things are EXPLICITLY stated! It’s that simple.
BUT PLEASE! NO PRIVATE INTERPRETATIONS. WE NEED EXPLICIT BIBLICAL EVIDENCE THAT CLEARLY SPELL THESE THINGS OUT. So let’s have it!
Truth is, they can’t provide us with that particular evidence because, quite frankly, it doesn’t exist. This is what EXPLICIT evidence looks like and we’ll use the Sabbath as an example, but we could do the same with His Feast Days and Dietary Laws:
Old Testament: Leviticus 23:3 – You have six days when you can do your work, but the Seventh Day of each week IS HOLY because it belongs to me. No matter where you live, YOU MUST rest on the Sabbath and COME TOGETHER FOR WORSHIP. This Law WILL NEVER CHANGE.
You see, no private interpretation needed. It is EXPLICITLY spelled out. And then, you can also validate its observance in the New Testament AFTER the death of Christ. And also validate its relevance with end-time prophecies:
New Testament: Luke 23:56 – Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDMENT.
End-Time Kingdom Prophecy: Isaiah 66:23 – And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, All flesh SHALL COME TO WORSHIP before Me,” says the LORD.
See there? Was I needed to interpret anything? NO! This is EXPLICIT evidence. These teachers, however, never provide EXPLICIT evidence for teaching a faith apart from God’s law. They provide their own recycled misinterpretations and views and then call it evidence. And in doing so, they deceive themselves and those gullible enough to believe them.
If God were here in person and told you to your face to keep his Sabbath, His Dietary Law and His Feast Days, WOULD YOU?
Do you not have faith in His Written Word? Because, this is exactly what He’s Commanding us to do in it.
