Unclean Foods in the Bible

Unclean Foods in the Bible

God COMMANDS us not to eat unclean foods in the bible.

It’s a Law (Leviticus 11:46-47).

If you break the Law, it’s a sin (1 John 3:4). And the wages of (unrepentant) sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Eating unclean animals DEFILES us and makes us UNCLEAN (Leviticus 11:43-44).

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we defile it, or make it unclean- the Holy Spirit will flee from us and God will destroy us (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

The Holy Spirit will not ever reside in a defiled or unclean house. And God would never destroy a temple that is occupied by the Holy Spirit.

We are told that nothing unclean will enter God’s Kingdom (Ephesians 5:5).

One of Isaiah’s prophecy says, that when Christ returns, He will destroy those who eat pork and other unclean animals (Isaiah 66:15-17).

And Christ says that every prophecy concerning him will come to pass.

So according to Christ, Isaiah’s prophecy IS coming true because that prophecy is about him (Luke 24:44).

Any person who’s ignored and is defying God’s dietary Law by continuing to eat unclean animals as a fixed- or an integrated part of their daily life or living, is “practicing lawlessness”.

And Christ will say, ” I never knew you; Depart from me, you who “practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:21-23).

You might think that you could never be one of those persons that Christ describes throughout the Gospels, as one of those who’s “practicing lawlessness”.   But I encourage you to read the article, True Christianity, for a more thorough understanding on what it is, to “practice lawlessness”.

It is way more prevalent than what you think among “professing” Christians. Even YOU- may be “practicing Lawlessness” without even having thought about it.

Practicing Lawlessness, is way more serious that committing sin and then asking God for forgiveness.

Why?

Because, on occasion, we all sin.

We could have been angry at that moment, given in to temptation, acted without really thinking, etc… NO ONE IS PERFECT. But then we ask God to forgive us for this sin that wasn’t intended or premeditated.

It was a slip up. It happens!

Practicing lawlessness, however, is a fixed way of life. Way different!

So make sure to read the article- True Christianity, it explains this in more detail.

You can think all day long- 24/7, that eating pork and other unclean animals is no big deal. But it is to God and His Holy Spirit.

You can find a list of the clean and unclean animals in the books and chapters of Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Learn what the unclean foods in the bible are. Then stay away from them. They will defile you and cause you to become an abomination unto God.
