Was God’s Law Nailed to the Cross?
If you haven’t read Part 1 yet, you might want to do that first because I won’t be repeating the verses I supplied there, on here.
Did Paul REALLY teach that God’s Law was Blotted Out and Nailed to the Cross by Christ, as some suggest?
We know that’s impossible because, Paul- YEARS AFTER THE CROSS- continued advocating God’s Law as I’ve shown in Part 1.
If the Law was done away with at the Cross, it shouldn’t exist beyond that point. Yet, the Law’s persistence and prevalence, can be traced all the way to Christ’s Return, God’s future coming Kingdom, and beyond to Judgment Day… CONTRADICTING the false narrative that it ended way back at the Cross, and at the same time, confirming God’s word that His Law is ETERNAL (Psalms 119:152, 160).
I’ll continue showing the relevancy of God’s Law way after the cross:
Revelation 22:14 – Blessed are they that do his Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life…
Acts 21:24 – …but that you yourself (Paul) also walk orderly AND KEEP THE LAW.
1 John 2:3 – Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His Commandments.
Matthew 7:22 – On JUDGMENT DAY many will say to Me, ‘Lord! Lord…
Matthew 7:23 – But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who break God’s LAWS.
The following END-TIME prophecies are in regards to the event of the returning Christ, and afterward, during God’s Millennium Kingdom.
They show God’s Law IN EFFECT, but focus on the BIG THREE that are DETESTED by modern-day Christians.
These are the Seventh-Day Sabbath, God’s Holy Days, and the Law of Unclean Animals:
Isaiah 2:3 – …He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion SHALL GO FORTH THE LAW…
Isaiah 66:23 – …From one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.
Zechariah 14:19 – This shall be the punishment… of all the nations that do not come up TO KEEP the Feast of Tabernacles.
Isaiah 66:15 – For behold, the LORD will come with fire…
Isaiah 66:17 – “Those… Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination (other unclean animals)… shall be consumed together,” says the LORD.
So, WHO is kidding who?
Clearly, God’s Law is ETERNAL. And so, we either conform to God’s ways and embrace the New Covenant terms, or we reject them, and continue falling deeper into the vices of the Lawless One.
And, because God’s Law ISN’T done away with, Paul, addressing the Church, tells them in verses 16 and 17, not to worry about anyone (OUTSIDERS) JUDGING THEM in regards to God’s approved Foods, Feast days, and Sabbaths, because, that task, falls squarely on God’s true Church- the Body of Christ!
Colossians 2:16 – Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:
Colossians 2:17 – Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
It is the church’s duty- the Body of Christ, to teach and instruct, and therefore, judge the behavior of its members- those inside. And allow God to judge those outside the true church.
1 Corinthians 5:12 – What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are YOU (the Church) not to judge those inside?
1 Corinthians 5:13 – God will judge those outside.
And so, even today- as in Paul’s time, RELIGIOUS “OUTSIDERS” calling themselves Christians, continue judging us for keeping those very same Laws, that Paul, and the early Church, were judged and criticized for keeping.
These “RELIGIOUS” OUTSIDERS, are they that belong to diverse denominations, that aren’t part of the TRUE Church of God, but yet, profess Christianity (Matthew 7:22-23).
The NON-RELIGIOUS outsiders, could care less about any of this. They don’t attend Church or anything. They think that believing in the existence of a God, and being good, is enough to be saved- though they remain oblivious to everything that God actually taught.
God will judge both!
